LEAP is a groundbreaking Digital Health Hub for the South West of England and Wales. The Hub aims to build on the strengths of each of its institutional partners to provide opportunities for training, research and collaboration.

Our vision

Increase digital health capability across the region through leadership, engagement, acceleration & partnership

LEAP’s vision for a world-leading digital health hub is defined by our partners. Together, we have determined that digital health is as much about design and user experience as health data analysis; it is motivated by patient benefit but must also consider viable business models for industry.

Create new opportunities for training, research, innovation and collaboration

Achieved through our bespoke training offering, funding for fellowships and collaborative research, and Hub member events and networks. The Hub will bring together industry, academia, patients, carers and healthcare professionals.

Address unmet health and social care needs across South West England and Wales.

The region has a diverse population of 5.6M. From inner-city communities in Bristol, to remote rural populations in Devon and the Welsh Valleys. LEAP Hub partners have emphasised the importance of surfacing unmet health and care needs for the region.

Connect regional, national and international partners, including industry, academics, and health and social care providers

Our partner network includes NHS trusts and clinicians, providers of residential care homes, start-ups and multinational consulting firms. Hub members will have opportunities to connect with our partners and build new cross-sector relationships.
